JERZI UNLUCKY 13

Convinced that the  Kennel Club Working Test at Chatsworth would make use of their huge lake for a long and demanding swim in their Open class we have been training Jerzi recently to swim past small islands to a main far bank.   Grrr,  the water test yesterday at Chatsworth was a short swim onto the island for the hidden dummy.  Jerzi was the only dog to set her sights past the island onto the far lakeside bank.  Aaagh , needing a good result for the water test was paramount to finish well, but she was determined, needing 3 reminders to turn back !  Such is life  :)      Well done to the winners a lovely day out. HAVOC AND DORA NEWS

A long trip, leaving Saturday and returning at midnight last night, but both Havoc and Dora have been  successfully covered by  Stud dogs Dodger and Rolex. 1000 miles driving and the best part of a week away,  but it has been well worth it and we now have 63 days to prepare the stables for the maternity unit! DORA & HAVOC IN BUSINESS

At last as of today both Dora and Havoc are in season and will be visiting their stud dogs in a couple of weeks!  A long wait but we now have an agenda.  Being over a month late, if all goes well the likely date of puppies will be 6th August with them 8 weeks old on 1st October.  Regular posts will appear on the Litters pages :) Keeping fingers crossed and thanking everyone for their patience. JERZI ON 2 CYLINDERS !

Jerzi won an overall 4th today at the HPR Gundog Associations Open Working Test in Biscester.  She hunted superbly achieving top marks with 40/40 but much to my frustration although still finishing well  had a concentration bypass on her retrieves.  All our bitches are overdue in season at the moment, so we are hoping that this is a sign that they are imminent! Thankyou to everyone for your patience in waiting to hear news on our planned litters.  We are pretty certain that the very cold Spring has slowed nature down, as they were due in on 19th April,  but the weather is due to change this week :)

OUT IN THE COLD!

Just back from a wet and windy day on the moor for selecting the team for the World Championship of Pointing Dogs.  But it was not to be for Aytee dogs. We are hugely disappointed, but Jerzi still lacking experience and a mistake from Dora served to keep us as spectators this year!  Fantastic congratulations to those who have gone through and good luck in Denmark! Never mind girls, we still love you !
