Just Awesome
Huge thankyou to Lloyd Birch for setting up a fabulous shootover day yesterday in Derbyshire. It was an awesome walk to an awesome ground and I can’t remember a more enjoyable day working the dogs … such a fabulous gang of guns Lloyd, Malin, Chris, Ian and Lee who worked brilliantly for the dogs. Massive thanks to you all and to the host and hats off to keeper Shane who guided us so well.
What a privilege !
In such beautiful locations working for guns that love working dogs are the greatest of days, with different challenges for people and dogs in places that make great memories. 😍🐕👌 How lucky we are !
Congratulations AYTEE MAVERICK 🥂

Introduction to Field Trials Weekend
Organised by the N&SHPRFT Club and with the very generous offer of host Mark Taylor and the superb Roxby Moor, I was delighted to join James Reavil in running the clubs '“Introduction to Field Trailling” weekend organised so ably by FT Sec Denise Rackshaw and we finished today with 12 smiling handlers and 12 tired dogs. The novice ‘competitors’ experienced everything from running on this superb grouse moor across the 2 days in quite different weather conditions, completing water tests, working with shot and cold game and experiencing the mechanics of a trial. Thanks to the N&SHPRFTClub for asking me to be a part of this great idea, to Mark Taylor for his amazing support, to James Reavil for his wisdom, to ‘red flag’, to the ‘guns’ and to the 12 lovely dogs and handlers, it was a throughly enjoyable weekend. 😀 🐕 👏
After a thorough soaking at the GWPC WT at Chatsworth House, young Oxo, Aytee Oceania, completed her last puppy class on top marks again, finishing in 2nd with her hunt mark. There were some great tests with the heavy rain adding to the challenges so well done to all award winners and thanks to the hosts, GWPC, judges and helpers for putting on such a super day and smiling through the rain!
Fabulous Grouse Weekend
It was a privilege to be asked by the HWVCGB to train and then judge on their grouse weekend on Grinton Moor last weekend. Kindly hosted by Janet Sunter and Dez Coates the two days were perfect conditions and it was thoroughly enjoyable to share a days training with Richard (Chilly) Chellembrun and a lovely group of dogs and handlers and then jointly judge the Grouse Pointing Test. We saw some super work across the 2 days and Congratulations to our 4 award winners in the test.
Thankyou to the HWVCGB, the hosts for their amazing generosity, my co judge Chilly, to everyone for entering and to Hari Lampart who organised so brilliantly.

HPR Home International
A great day at the 2021 Game Fair, Ragley Hall, saw our Team Scotland finishing in 3rd Place at the HPR Home International. Massive thanks to our wonderful sponsors pictured here, as well as Tuffies Dogbeds and Woodmill Game who made it all possible and to Howard Kirby and his team for organising a testing competition in sometimes tricky conditions. Huge congratulations to Team England for a runaway 1st Place, Team Ireland for 2nd and Team Wales for 4th, particular congrats to the individual winners who had some fantastic scores.

GSPC's great day at Watergrove
Thanks to the Yorkshire Group of the GSPC for a seamlessly run day and a great atmosphere at their annual Working Test at Watergrove, Rochdale. Our young Oxo made it well worth the trip, tried hard all day long, learnt a lot and only dropped 4 marks across the day. Thanks to Puppy judge David Hartwell, who stood in at short notice. It was a super day, meeting plenty of new people and having laughs with lots of lovely young dogs, phew, glad to cool off in the water at the end of the day !
YAY!!
