I had an interesting demo of search and rescue this weekend when one of our 2016 K litter “Juno” was honing her skills in finding 3 hidden ‘casualties’ in thick forest. Watching Juno’s scenting ability being used in this way was fascinating and her wide quartering meant that she quickly did the job that a line of police officers might otherwise have been called to do on a search like this.
