There were plenty of partridge on our walk up day in Suffolk today, but they played games with the dogs and refused to hold. Overnight rain didnt help, leaving the sugarbeet wet, but thanks to our quick guns we had a bag and the dogs made some good retrieves. Great to see so many birds for later in the season.
