With lots of spraying keeping us off the fields dawgs have been walking to heel … or so I thought until I turned round and saw this! ……………………………….hare alert !
Thankyou Everyone!
Thankyou to everyone for kind messages of help and support in helping the dogs, Johnny and I find somewhere to live last week when our house sale was finalised and emigration plans had to be abandoned because of Corvid 19. With our "N" Litter puppies also going to their new homes and travel in lockdown it couldnt have happened without the most amazing support from many people. Thankyou !!!!!! Please keep yourselves safe and well, Enjoy your dogs !
Plan "Z"
With Aytee’s relocation to New Zealand temporarily postponed owing to the Coronavirus, unable to travel to Scotland and with the chaos of our house move yesterday behind us we have decided to remain in Norfolk for the birth of our “O” litter.
It is not often that I will admit to being beaten but now, just now, sticking with the friendship and contacts that have been so wonderful in helping us with our predicament here in Norfolk it is the least I can do for Dora who’s puppies are due on May 8th.
We will be keeping a pup ourselves from what should be a very special litter, the last from our lovely working bitch Dora and her scan will be on 7th April. (see “O” litter) If you are looking for a working GSP I am pulling together contacts now so do call 07923125143 or EMAIL: LUCIEHUSTLER@ME.COM and because of the uncertain position with the virus I am especially keen to make contact so we can liaise as times goes on. Our rented house does not have good broadband until next week so please bear with me if I am slow getting back to you……thank goodness for the sanity of a dog !
Home at Last
As we speak Karat’s puppies are all safely installed in their new homes and huge thanks go out to the 10 owners from across the country who moved mountains to get them home before the lockdown tightened. I have no doubt that the pups will be a welcome distraction in the coming months and I am so sorry that we could not have a hug at such a happy time, but so glad that you all have your boys and girls safely home. We send you love and luck for the future ….. keep those pictures coming !!

Instead of NZ...‘Scotland on Steriods’ Aytee head for the real thing
Well what do they say about “The best made plans.... often go awry” … well ours certainly have - there will be no emigration to New Zealand for Aytee for the forseeable future as all animal cargo into NZ has been cancelled to give more space for medical supplies to support the coronavirus. With our house sold and needing to move out on 30th March Johnny and I have cancelled our own flights and are heading up to Scotland with the dogs for the summer. Offers of help from wonderful friends have turned a bad dream into something workable especially for Dora who is due to whelp in May.
So, our NZ “O” litter will instead be born in the UK, not the plan, but of course with everyones difficulties at this time is is but a small inconvenience. As ever we hope to find wonderful working homes for Dora’s last litter so please dont hesitate to call 07923125143 or email luciehustler@me.com if you are interested or want to chat https://www.aytee.co.uk/o-litter-nz
How quickly life can change and I wish everyone love and luck in the coming months with your families and dogs wherever you are.
Get Prepared !
The “N” litter met their owners for the first time this weekend as Aytee’s routine for pups is first viewing at 6 weeks. All 2 legs had met before, but pups had only been seen on video…. .WOW what a welcome they gave everyone after long journeys and lots of puppy love! We are SO lucky and despite no handshakes big hugs and thanks to all our owners….. see you in a week or two !
Best Dogfood Ever
Thankyou to Skinners Petfood for their fantastic support of HPR Field Trials through their Field and Trial Range. Aytee’s last delivery yesterday by Mel couldn’t be done without a bit of puppy love
Puppies due North Island, New Zealand May 2020
Which way is North ?
Aytee’s first litter to be born in New Zealand will be the last for Ft Ch Aytee Isadora when we arrive later this Spring as we are very excited to be expecting our “O” litter in May. Sired by the lovely Graygees Gigolo we will be keeping one of the Kiwi pups ourselves for trialling down-under and we’re also keeping everything crossed as we have to get there first ! For more info please see https://www.aytee.co.uk/o-litter-nz

BACK TO WORK
Fantastic weekend spent with owner of the sire of our “N” litter and “Bodi” too came to visit his pups. Much puppy love went on and then both dam and sire took turns to hunt, both finding and pointing birds. Karat here (ha, with her undercarriage) on point before flushing a cock bird and Bodi strutting his stuff.

I had an interesting demo of search and rescue this weekend when one of our 2016 K litter “Juno” was honing her skills in finding 3 hidden ‘casualties’ in thick forest. Watching Juno’s scenting ability being used in this way was fascinating and her wide quartering meant that she quickly did the job that a line of police officers might otherwise have been called to do on a search like this. Huge thanks to Ian Danks (and family) from the RAF for setting it up and to our 3 cold and wet ‘casualties.’
